H & H auctions are no stranger to putting on an auction with interesting cars, and their recent Woodcote Park auction featured plenty. From an Iconic Impreza rally spec car to a beautiful DB6 Vantage there really was plenty to get excited about.
By the end of the auction excitement may have faded somewhat and some surprising cars did not sell, but there were also some large sales to be proud of once cars finished crossing the lot. 1975 Impreza WRC
The poster car for this auction was a one off rally spec Impreza which was the focus of a lot of development from factory. With a hefty price estimate of between £175,000 – £200,000 this had the potential to fall flat and gladly it did quite the opposite. Once the hammer fell the car sold for a brilliant £230,625.00 – a fine price for a fine vehicle.
2001 Subaru Impreza P1
Carrying on the blue, warbling and AWD theme this sale was not so enchanting. A popular modern classic amongst rally fans this car should have sold and gone to a very happy owner. Unfortunately the car fell shy of it’s £18,000 – £22,000 estimate and remains for sale.
1982 Porsche 911 Turbo
With Porsche sales being as high as they have been recently its a surprise that this one didn’t sell, between £100,000 – £120,000 seems a touch steep but given the low-mid mileage and good condition its unusual this wasn’t snapped up. The Hellbronze Metallic seems more appropriate than one might think in the metal and a nice period colour. Read more about the car HERE.
2008 Bentley Continental GTC
A surprise of the day, with an estimate of between £35,000 – £45,000 this Continental shot past it’s estimates and sold for £49,940 – a pretty good deal for such a low mileage and well kept example.
