Development Roadmap – January 2017

Hello, and welcome to the new year on Classic Car Auction Results. It’s certainly a cold start to the new year as we write this, I think my Triumph Herald would struggle to get going in that frost outside!

We’re looking forward again to what’s on the agenda, after our priorities laid out in November. We received some great feedback on what we are looking to achieve, and based on this we have decided to keep our focus narrow for the next month or so, and really concentrate on:

1. Getting all the auction houses we currently have listed completely up to date. We are of course limited by what the auction houses publish, so even though an auction may have gone ahead, it can take some time for an auction’s results to be published. But we are doing our best, and where information exists, it is all up to date.

2. We are excited by the idea of tracking future auctions, and letting you know what is being auctioned, and where. We had started rolling out this functionality but now the key plan for January 2017 is to get this working properly for the auction houses we’ve currently got listed.

One thing we did introduce that wasn’t in our plan, per the feedback we received, was the ability to share the link to a specific set of auction results. The cover image for this post is the results for the Ferrari over time – why not share your searches with your friends!

Quite a short update, then, for January, but getting the things we do have working very well is clearly key for our users, so that’s what we’re going to focus on! If there’s something else you’d like us to focus on or any other comments or feedback you might have then please do let us know here. Happy New Year!
