Development Roadmap – April 2017

Another month rolls by, another update on the development roadmap for Classic Car Auction Results. But let’s take a peek at what we achieved against our plan for March:

– we have added the auction houses we wanted (RM Sotheby’s, Brightwells, and Barons), but also went live this morning with Bonhams, taking the total lots we have in the database to an amazing 75,539! That’s a whole lot of data to analyse…
– import/export isn’t yet finished, as we came up with a new idea partway through the month, which was to allow you to embed Classic Car Auction Results on your own site or blog! This is a really great – and *free* tool – to help share the information on the cars you love. Check out the embed here.
– the site has a whole new look and feel! Working on the visuals and the user interface has been something we had been tinkering with for a while, so even though we didn’t talk about it last time, it’s something we decided to push ahead with. Let us know what you think about the new look!
– the ‘trader’ level is nearly ready, but just needs a bit of tweaking before we roll it out – we’ll also be pushing out our new ‘free’ subscription level soon too.

So, coming up in April we have:

– the import/export we talked about last time;
– roll out of trader and free subscription levels;
– thumbnail imagery of the cars in the search results table;
– a clearer view of cars coming up at auction, including full list, available to all subscriber levels;
– saved searches in your profile, as a pre-cursor to being able to track your own portfolio of cars; and
– advanced graphics, analysis and a much more mobile-friendly experience.

That’s our update for April, hope you enjoy the changes we’re making, and please do get in touch with any comments or feedback!
