Auction roundup – Brightwells at Bicester Heritage

With Flywheel at Bicester Heritage over for another year it’s a time to look back fondly at one of the UK’s best heritage events. An exciting sale with some interesting cars, we’re going to take you through the winners and losers from the day.

1975 Alfa Romeo Super

First up this Alfa Romeo Super is the unfortunately the first of a fair few unsold lots. 1995 Aston Martin DB7

The current darling of modern British motoring and a car that we’ve spoken about to be increasing rapidly in price, the V12 that is. This Supercharged inline-6, albeit with the more desirable manual, could only manage to sell for £22,500. With that in mind, what a lot of car for the price!

1959 Austin A35

As far as little British classics go the A35 has a lot of charm, when coupled with the heritage setting it’s hard not to get carried away and lust after one of these. This particular model had lived in the midlands all of it’s life and had only covered 66,000 miles before the auction. When the hammer dropped this Austin sold for £3,000.

1928 Austin Seven Chummy

The second of two Chummies, this one sold for slightly more – fetching £10,600 over the other Chummy which sold for£ 9,000. This lovely red example had been retrimmed and had received a lot of TLC and we are sure has found a loving new owner.

These are just a handful of the classics that sold on the day but there were a number that went unsold, meaning you might be able to grab a bargain. We’ve included a few of them below – click on the image to head to the Brightwells results page.
