Coming up for sale with H&H at their Imperial War Museum auction at Duxford is a fantastic range of classics and modern classics, many of the cars we have seen various iterations come up for sale previously and know what to expect in the pricing department. This week’s auction, however, is throwing something rather special into the mix in the form of this beautiful 1973 Alfa Romeo Montreal finished in white.

This French registered lefthand drive example is finished in White Bianco with black velour seats and has recently received a mechanical overhaul by Montreal specialists Super Engineering. The vendor advises some £10,000 has been spent including a new exhaust system and injection system overhaul. Described as being in “good” condition with regard to its bodywork, paintwork, engine, interior and gearbox this was a rare car in it’s day and an even rarer sight at UK auctions, it is a real pleasure to see a Montreal go under the hammer.

Values of the Alfa Romeo Montreal have been climbing in recent years so we are interested to see for what price this one sells on Wednesday. If recent price trends are anything to go by then we could be looking at one of the next European classics to explode in price.
